Effective HRT Monitoring: DUTCH testing was designed to be optimally effective for most forms of hormone replacement therapy. Unique methods are used for improved monitoring of oral progesterone and vaginal hormones.

DUTCH offers the most extensive profile of sex and adrenal hormones along with their metabolites.

Cycle Mapping

For some women, testing reproductive hormones (progesterone, estrogen, etc.) on a single day is sufficient. In other scenarios, the clinical picture cannot

be properly captured without “mapping” out the hormonal pattern throughout their menstrual cycle.

Women struggling with infertility

  • ·  Women with cycling hormones and no menses

    · Partial hysterectomy (ovaries intact but no uterus) · Ablations
    · Mirena IUD (no actual menstrual bleeding due to

IUD but still has hormonal symptoms)

  • ·  Women with irregular cycles

Awakening test

The Cortisol Awakening Response (CAR) is the rise in salivary cortisol between the waking sample and the sample collected 30 (as well as 60) minutes later. This "awakening response" is essentially a "mini stress test" and is a useful measurement in addition to the overall up-and-down (diurnal) pattern of free cortisol throughout the day.

A true CAR assessment requires salivary samples to be collected at the moment of waking, and twice more, at 30 minutes after waking and 60 minutes after waking.
